Today we take a 55 second deep-dive into Figma’s Auto Layout functionality. Auto Layout lets users create dynamic elements whose styling auto-updates depending on how the user changes its contents.

A helpful exercise to see how auto-layout will be beneficial to you is to recreate an old design of yours using auto-layout as much as possible, instead of groups. To be totally clear though, it is still beneficial to use groups.

Since it can be a relatively new way of thinking and organizing, Auto Layout can be a little difficult to jump into.

Let’s try to learn how to use it in one minute :)
